body is still here. before organs can be recovered, there is extensive x raying, blood testing and tissue typing that needs to be done that takes about 24 hours, recipients are identified through the national waiting list that the computerized matching system so the computer helps generate suitable recipients that. is taking place. and the medical director tells me young, healthy donors are the ideal candidate for this generous donation. >> we can impact as many as eight lives from organs and 50 from tissue. the organs we can transplant are hearts, livers, lungs, kidneys, pancreas. we can split livers into two on occasion for very young, healthy donors. we can split the liver and give a segment each to two different individuals.

>> this family issued a statement regarding the donation. it says, quote, he was serving others as a chp officer z our grief is overwhelming but he carries on in helping others. those who knew him would not be surprised to learn he chose to register as a donor. when he graduated from police academy he was told his job was to save a live. he does so now through this decision. through this gift, he will save lives of those who need transplants. and this was our ken on, he's our hero and we're comforted to know he continues to help others. and i'm told the recovery of the organs and tissue will happen within next 24 hours. and at that same time, recipients and their families will be notified.

north bay valleys today. and pull back to give you a view see this or yank coloring here representing the air of dry air aloft. and and starting at 5:00 tomorrow morning, at which point there will be fog burning back to and away from the coast giving us sunny skies with high temperatures ranging from low 60s near the coast to 70s around the bay. to 80s inland. and here is another feature we need to pay attention to. there is a beach hazard advisory for portions of monterey bay area. there is a strong rip current that may be generated by waves being produced by swells, the areas we're looking at with greatest concerns are monterey state beach and marina state beach. so keep that in mind. stay away from the coastline

the consumer reports index calls it the trouble tracker and it increased in the past month. biggest prob lenls are lost or reduced health care coverage, inability to pay for medications and care, and missed payments on major bills. and consumer reports data shows more people are losing jobs than are gaining jobs. that needs to turn around for americans to feel more secure and get the economy moving again. and this says with afluent feeling more insecure they're cutting back on spending. >> and. >> australia's richest woman is complaining about the cost of doing business suggesting a $2 a day wage would make her country more competitive of she makes money through mining and says australia is becoming a high cost and high risk nation and cannot compete with workers willing to work for very low wages.

were those deputies are standing. the standoff is over, we're told by the sheriff's office that they're in their words, mopping up this praichlgs the s.w.a.t. team showed up around 2:00, and after they showed up, they found a victim of the shooting. this victim was slumped over just about a half block down. you're looking at aerial shot by sky 7 hd. now, they receive that had phone call at about 2:00, and after they responded they did see that victim, then rushed over to this house, they thought the suspect might be holed up. after firing nonneejal or less than lethal shots they stormed the house and found nobody there. so the suspect is still at large as we speak.
